The relevance of Insolvency Bankruptcy Code and the role of the Insolvency Bankruptcy Board of India can be attributed to the increasing flow of FDI into India ‘ said Dr. Surya Prakash, Vice Chancellor of DSNLU. While addressing a One Day Capacity Building Program on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code – 2016, through online and organized by The Centre for Business and Commercial Laws (CBCL) of Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, he emphasized on the role of the Insolvency Bankruptcy Board of India in effective implementation of the insolvency and bankruptcy code.

With these foreign investments coming in due to opening of Indianeconomy, it is the duty of India as a nation to protect the investors and theirinterests to ensure economic development of the nation. He duly thanked all theguest speakers for having consented to attend the event' added Dr. Surya Prakash.

The success of Insolvency Bankruptcy Code, as it is better equipped and the processes take place in a time-bound manner’ said Sudhakar Shukla, whole- time member of Insolvency Bankruptcy Board of India,while delivering inaugural address. Despite being well-equipped, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the entire process, leading to liquidations of the corporate entities, especially MSMEs, he added.
